Past Event: 2011-2012 Pink in the Rink
On Sunday October 23rd, Galt Arena Gardens will be tickled pink.
The Cambridge Winter Hawks, partnering with Your Neighbourhood Credit Union, will be supporting Breast Cancer awareness, research and prevention through their first annual Pink in the Rink night.
Benefiting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, all net proceeds earned from Pink in the Rink memorabilia sold will go to the CBCF for research, awareness and prevention campaigns. The Cambridge Winter Hawks will be auctioning off game jerseys, with the initial bid starting at $75. The Winter Hawks will also be selling Pink in the Rink Cambridge Winter Hawk t-shirts, Pink in the Rink game pucks, and will be taking donations at the game and online to go directly to CBCF.
Mayor Doug Craig is confirmed to be in attendance for this event.
The Cambridge Winter Hawks are setting a donation goal of $5000 to be donated to the CBCF. It is with such a great fan base that the Winter Hawks can set a donation goal this high.
Pre-bidding will not be available on jerseys. All memorabilia can be purchased by cash or cheque only on the night of the event.
The Cambridge Winter Hawks will be facing off against the Brantford Golden Eagles on this evening. This is sure to be a strong contest between both teams. The Brantford Golden Eagles are also promoting this event in their home arena.
Stay tuned as more information, a confirmed guest list of local community players attending, and events happening that night get finalized.
