Let’s Read

The Cambridge Winter Hawks are proud to team up with the Cambridge Libraries for the Let’s Read program.

Let’s Read is a family literacy initiative in partnership with Cambridge Libraries and Galleries, Kitchener Public Library, Region of Waterloo Libraries, Waterloo Public Library and Project Read.

Together we are working to get the families of Waterloo Region reading – reading the same book, reading together as a family, and reading together as a community.

Literacy is important for the whole family. Children who are read to and who see their family reading demonstrate improved reading skills. Make literacy a family project and let us help.

Each year one Canadian book written at approximately the Grade 3 or 4 reading level is selected for families in the community to read and enjoy together from September until Family Literacy Day on January 27th.

Check out the Let’s Read Blog to find out what’s happening all over the region, including at the Cambridge Libraries.

Times coming soon, when you can come out and read with the Winter Hawks!
